House Rules
While we try to keep things simple, there are a couple of things that need to be explained and understood.
Check in time is between 14.00 and 17.00 pm, you should avoid to come in the dark. Check out is at 11.00 am.
While you can park your car at the entrance it’s still some walk down to the house ( about 600 meters ) so you may consider how much luggage you want to lug. Between 9.00 ad 17.00 we can help you with it.
If you have a 4wheel drive you can drive the car down to a distance of 150 meter from the house.
Please be aware that you will stay in a place in the wild, there will be the usual power cuts. Wild and not so wild animals and the usual creepy crawlers. The house is a simple farm house, with two rooms and att. bathrooms, hot water and bucket shower and the large veranda with kitchen in front of the rooms. There are outside terraces on each side of the house. There will be no TV, but the 11 meter window does for some pretty high resolution sights. There is also no WiFi, for a cause ! But Airtel and Jio mostly works.
As we try to keep wastage short, we do not supply toiletries but you will be given a nice clean towel.
Joseph’s and Jancy’s instructions need to be followed, they know the place best, it’s wildlife and the local conditions, they will be available between 8.00 and 19.00. Thereafter you are on your own. But they are around if you need back up. Please treat everybody in the place respectfully. Over the years we found out that all blood is red :-)
You can venture out in the gardens by yourself, but we suggest if you want to go deeper into the forrest you ask Joseph to give you a guided tour.
Use of illegal substances ( also known as Drugs ) is not advised and will lead to you being asked to leave. Legal substances like alcohol, well, please keep it mellow. While smoking in the enclosed verandah of the house is fine, please do not smoke in the rooms or forrest.
Should you be with young children, be aware that you might have to carry them up/ down hill. Please bring some good shoe’s to walks the forrest, and something for inside the house, consider some rain gear.
The costs for food are estimated around approx 1000,- INR per person a day for basic meals and will need to be handed over to Joseph in cash upon arrival. Check Menu if need to order. The final amount will be settled the same way when you leave.
By booking our place you agree to all this provisions and wave any claims in case anything happens to you on the property.
